The environment of the world has been damaged by the human beings for so many years without much notice.In recent years,however,more and more nations have begun to preserve the environment as they have realized the importance of it.

The nature has given us so much,but look at what we have done in return for its generosity.Thousands upon thousands of trees have been cut down,including some precious species. Numerous rivers and lakes have been drained only to set up modern buildings. Priceless wildlife has turned into delicious dishes on the table.The air is being befouled by the smoke from the chimneys of the plants...

All this irritates the nature ,which results in the shortage of valuable resources,air pollution,countless acres of lands becoming deserts,etc.Fortunately,many countries have got to know the seriousness of the problem and take active measures to preserve the environment.We sincerely hope that all the peo;le in the world willtake part in the campaign and join hands to protect the nature.

what were your most memorable moments of 20xx? for me, four moments in particularstood out.

the first was on 29 march, when we sent off our founding prime minister mr lee kuan yew.singaporeans lined the streets to bid him a final farewell. the rain was pouring. as the guncarriage left parliament house, people shouted his name. i was deeply moved to see everyone’sfaces – drenched, grieving, but not downcast. we were one people, grateful for what ourpioneers had achieved, resolved to take singapore further forward.

the second moment was the weekend of 4 july. over three days, i attended five events – ansg50 catholic mass; the jubilee day of prayer organised by protestant churches; a harmony indiversity concert organised by the taoist federation and new creation church; and two iftars –one in al-ansar mosque, and another organised by jalan kayu grassroots organisations as partof a racial harmony night. together, the events reflected the diversity of our society, ourracial and religious harmony, and the singapore identity which we have built over the past 50years.

my third moment was on 9 august, when we celebrated our golden jubilee at the padang. itwas not just the scale of the mobile column and fly-past, but the singapore story told throughthe lives of ordinary singaporeans past and present. that is why when our pioneer soldiersmarched past, we gave them our loudest cheer.

我父亲的一位朋友，一个成功的商人，全身心投入到他的作业中。每天从早作业到晚，在他心目中底子没有周末的概念。他经常说：“我有必要多赚钱，这样就可以想干什么就干什么。”近来，他病倒了，除了躺在医院病床上，什么也不能做。

所以，我以为健康比财富更重要。假如一个人身体总是欠好，他什么也做不成，更不必谈美好了。不论咱们赤贫仍是赋有，都不能忽视健康的重要性。

What is it? Not the supermarket, not the dustbin, not the place that is dealing with rubbish of course, but it is a place on our campus.Yes, it is the flea market.

I have already sold my books and bags that I no longer need there, and have bought a lovely bottle there at a good price.

I will show you four benefits by doing this according to my exxperience，but before that,I have to tell you that you should keep an open mind when going there.

You may not come away with the things that were on your list, but thats the beauty of the hunt: you never know what youll find.

If you didnt find a particular item this week, dont despair ,since youll have chance to find it nexxt time.

Now I will show you the four reasons that may help you to find a new way to deal with your waste things nexxt time.Firstly, save money.

By selling the things you no longer needs, you can cover some of the original cost which can be of great importance to those students who have not got their own income.

And with the similar function and a much lower price, the financial difficulty that troubled many poor students can be solved much more easily.

What’s more, exxperts estimated that if all texxtbooks in universities can be used once again, we can save about 100 million Yuan which can help you to travel to moon for one time.Secondly, develop a good habit.

Selling the waste things in a flea market can help the sellers to cultivate a good habit of making full use of their belongings.

Thus you will think twice before buying a new product nexxt time.Thirdly, foster an intelligence to engage in business.

You can learn to communicate with others and promote sale of your products to others at a proper price by doing this.

Your practical ability can also improve a lot.Don’t forget the last one, environmental-friendly.

According to the latest report, if a small-size city reuses the texxtbooks for one time, they can save 1.5 million in only a semester’s time.Anyway, a flea market is an interesting place to visit if you want to buy something or if you want to buy nothing.
